Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first significant achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
